You can use the app without an account. Preferences, reminder settings, starred quotes, lyrics, songs, and resources, and quiz scores stay on your device. Sign-in (Apple, Google, or email code) is optional if you want to join the public quiz leaderboard with a display name, or to keep starred items and your background in sync across devices. You can leave the board or delete an account in the app (Account → Delete account). The App may send anonymous usage analytics to help us improve it — see the Privacy Policy.
Quick tips
- Start from Home to open Family Pledge, Quotes, Resources, Quiz, Calendar, Music, Song Lyrics, or Gallery.
- Use the tune button for app language, background, notifications, text size, Support, and About. Use the heart for Support.
- On a phone, the first time you open the app you may be asked to turn on reminders (calendar, quiz practice, daily quote). Fine-tune times later in Settings → Notifications.
- Open Quotes & Reading for quotes: quote of the day, books, themes, search, and Surprise me. Star a quote to keep it on this device. Share as an image from a quote. Book cards can open source and audiobook links. Add the Quote of the day widget from Settings → Notifications → Daily quote (iPhone and Android).
- In Family Pledge, switch to the Kids edition (English) for illustrated verses. You can share the PDF from that screen, or tap Adult to return to the eight-verse edition.
- Open Quiz to practice the Pledge; Progress shows streaks and history stored on this device. The Leaderboard is optional and public.
- In Korean or romanised Family Pledge, use Korean recitation to play along; the list scrolls to the active verse while audio plays.
- While recitation or a holy song is playing, tap the mini-player title to jump between Music and the matching text screen.
- In Calendar, switch between list and month views and use the filter chips to show or hide event types.
- On phone, turn on local reminders from the first-open prompt, the tune button → Notifications, or from Calendar / Quiz / Reading.
- In Song Lyrics, open a song and use the chords control when available; play linked music from the same screen. Use Share or PDF to send the page or save a printable copy (chords included when the song has them).
- While reading the Pledge or a lyric, use settings to adjust language, background, and text size.
- In Music, use the search field to find albums and songs. Start music, then keep browsing — the mini player stays available; lock-screen next/previous work on phones.
- Play a full playlist from Music to loop the list; study modes (lyrics play-once, Korean recitation) play without playlist loop.
- On Android, the system back control matches the top-left back arrow (exits only from Home).
- On Home, tap the FFWPU logo to open About. The splash screen also shows familypledge.app so you can use the web app on another device.
- Open About (from the tune button or the hub logo) for the app version, store / web links, and Check for updates on iPhone and Android.
- In Music, Share from now-playing sends a link to that song. On a phone with the app installed, that link can open the app.
